David Lewis and his 32ft sloop Ice Bird set sail from Australia to Antarctica in 1972 . What started as high adventure became a fight for life against all the odds. Twice the yacht was capsized once was dismasted 3,500 miles away from help. This is one of the graet small boat voyages of the 20th century.
