The author was an early advocate of this method of construction and he has designed for it a range of elegant small craft based on traditional types. He argues persuasively that modern plywood and epoxy adhesives can provide a long lasting watertight structure and that his simplified frameless clinker construction provides a strong lightweight hull that be 'dry-sailed' off a trailer or roof rack. twenty years experience of designing and building in this method have shown him to be right. He has now turned his own instruction manuals into an excellent textbook; each stage of the process being clearly illustrated by one of the 500 b/w photo's or drawings and the section on 'lining off' is the best in print.
