A MAP OF THE ISLAND OF GUERNSEY, 1832
By James Cochrane Jnr.
This reproduction is taken from an original document, held within the Archives of the UK Hydrographic Office, Taunton, Somerset.
It is a superb example of 19th century cartography. The detail clearly shows each town and village on the island and includes the names of local landowners.
It also contains a beautiful view and interestingly shows the track plot of Admiral Saumarez's ships who engaged a French force off the island during the Napoleonic Wars.
Size 50.5 x 41.5 cm (20" x 16.5")
