In 1934 Commader R.D. Graham sailed alone in his 30ft yacht 'Emanuel' from England to Newfoundland, cruised the Labrador coast, fell ill, sailed to Bermuda in November ('twenty three days of uninterrupted misery'), wintered there, and finally sailed back across the Atlantic to Poole.

This new edition also includes an account of a 1929 voyage to the Faeroe Islands.

This new edition is bought up to date by Robert Holdens account of the recent restoration of 'Emmanuel'. A must-read.
