This atlas contains two sets charts showing tidal streams commencing 6 hours before HW Portsmouth and ending 6 hours after HW Portsmouth. Solent tides are famous for their strengths and peculiarities. There are sublte differences in speed or direction of the tidal currents and tidal eddies which enable those with local knowledge to make a dramatic improvement in their progrees. This book is the result of 40 years of Solent boating and tidal surveys by Peter Bruce.
