2. Lymington, Hampshire
This scenic Georgian port town is located on the south coast. It is a beautiful place to visit and has independent nautical themed shops splayed across the sea front. You then have the astonishing countryside to visit as it is surrounded by the New Forest. You can even sail out to the Isle of Wight to see the eye catching Needle Rocks. Then have access to two harbours when coming back to Lymington due to the town’s maritime history.
3. Falmouth, Cornwall
Falmouth is full of the most unique, independent shops and restaurants. Situated at the very end of Cornwall, it has always been known for its beautiful family beaches and pubs. A buzzing little seaside town. It is the perfect place to sail to if you love friendly, cosy pubs and live music. There is the Falmouth regatta in August which will be sure to bring you entertainment with the wonderful display of boats.
4. Dartmouth, Devon
Dartmouth offers beautiful scenery with deep green trees and tall echoing cliffs. It has been a key player on the regatta circuit since the 17th century. The mouth of the River Dart is a great spot to take in the beautiful views and see the sailboats out at sea. If you sail down the River Dart you will see the most enchanting natural beauty and wildlife.
5. Poole, Dorset
A popular scene for sailors, Poole has the second largest natural harbour in the world. Sail out to the harbour’s five islands for a bit of an adventure and challenge. Its beautiful scenery will be sure to entice you out there anyhow.
