Standard Admiralty Charts are corrected in stock on a daily basis until despatched.
This nautical chart released by the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) covers the southern European island of Malta, (the largest of the seven that comprise the Maltese archipelago) located in the Mediterranean Sea.
The Malta archipelago is separated from the Southern tip of Sicily via the Malta Channel by approximately 93 kilometres, and despite its location in Europe, its located farther south than the capitals of Tsunisia, Algeria as well as parts of Syria and Iraq. Numerous bays and subsequent harbours can be found along the indented coastline of the islands, explaining Malta's dependence on foreign trade and particularly its tourism.
This paper nautical chart contains standard key information on Depths, Heights, Positions, Navigational Marks, Projection and Sources, as well as the specific recommended protocol and behaviour regarding:
- Currents
- Vessel Reporting
- Conservation Areas
- Submarine Cables and Pipelines
- Disused Cables
- Marine Farms
- Restricted Passages
- Nature Reserves
- Restricted Areas
- Firing Practice Areas
Code: 1835
